Student loan forgiveness: Who can apply and how to do it?

Recently, some actions promoted by the Department of Education aimed at detecting certain flaws in the student loan programs were announced, and this will allow close to 40,000 borrowers to be eligible for immediate debt cancellation through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).

The education agency also announced that at least 3.6 million others will receive at least three years of additional credit for income-driven repayment (IDR) forgiveness.
